Anybody have any thoughts on these.

Was thinking of buying one of these as the output of 5kw sounds good and
the fact that I could fit it myself into current fireplace without paying for someone to install etc

Good stove man from these pages says that they mightn't work the best if you cant get a good air tight seal with the fireplace fachia.

How would I ensure a good tight seal with fireplace fachia? By using fire cement/seal or fire rope? I think the way it stands the width would just cover the width of my fire opening but it may need to get the extra frame just to make sure.

Was planning on insulating box with rockwool also just to make sure seal is 100%

Our fireplace is a.different shape to the inset stove. The supplier cut steel plate to marry the 2. Sealed with fire rope and sealant. Works brilliantly.
