I have 2 cull LMX suckler cows to sell, both around 8 yrs old and roughly 650 kgs.
they are on pit silage and beef ration.
What is the best way to fatten them for sale in 6 to 8 weeks time.

as caseman said grass + barley. at the min our land is too soft for the heavy stock so we have our culls on our best silage and 4kgs barley. unreal the condition they put on.

grass and Maize it is better value than barley at present. Can be slow enough to get them to eat it. Not more than 2Kgs, soya hulls would also be an option if you can get them for the same price as the maize I feed a kg of each.
