Cheap to tax automatic jeep

Basically I'm just looking around at jeeps over 2008 automatic.

Any I've came across are high tax which i am paying now on my current jeep.
so what would be the point of spending thousands more to go up a few years and still pay the same tax or higher.

Does anyone know of an Automatic Jeep ( 2x4 or 4x4 ) that has low enough tax.

Realistically I know I wouldnt get low tax on a landrover discovery
But certainly not thinking Suzuki Jimny either,
More of an in between if you get me

So can you give us any idea of a budget then as you could probably spend anything between €8,000 and €180,000 on a post 2008 jeep.

Love this jeep but the tax is €950, I'm trying to get away from high tax, thanks for help though

Whats its MPG in Irelands current Diesel prices.

MPG is Miles Per Gallon. As in for every gallon of diesel it uses it will travel X miles. Whether your paying 5c or €5 for that gallon of diesel is irrelevant to that figure.

Road tax is based on C02 emmissions. Any automatic jeep will have relatively high emmissions and correspondingly high tax.

Jeeps are by their nature heavy, high, and not very aerodynamic.

A smaller lighter crossover type vehicle might suit best, but if the keys to ownership are road tax and economy any Jeep won't be ideal.

Over 4 years and over 60k miles my wife averaged 26MPG in our Disco 3 2.7 Auto.

She is now getting 30MPG on our Landcruiser D4D Auto so I think she has a light foot.

The Pontiac

30mpg is the combined figure.

27mpg for the auto.

The mazda CX5 auto diesel is €200 tax for the 150ps & €390 for the 175ps
