So i think i've found the perfect mass builder, have used it successfully for past 12 months during mass building phases.

Its cheap to make and full of goodness, just one a day will give a great platform to make gains:

    30g Whey Protein (80% protein)(vanilla)
    80g Peanut Butter (Meridian from Holland&Barrett €7/kg)
100g Oats (Aldi Harvest Morn <€2/kg)
    500ml Whole Milk

    Calories: 1250
    Protein: 75g
    Carbs: 96g
    Fats: 60g
    Fibre: 15g

Best thing about this is less than 30g of sugar, majority coming from milk.

Just Blend it all up into a creamy shake. Filling but not too filling, you could exercise within a couple hours.

    Try it out!

    Any other recipe suggestions welcome....

Im not a huge fan of Peanut Butter myself (taste) but its loaded with healthy fats which in turn up the calorie intake. 80g Peanut Butter is round 460 calories.

You could try other nut butters (almond), they're harder to find in shops (try health shops/Holland&Barrett) and more expensive.

You could swap Peanut Butter for an avocado(50g). It will give a nice taste, but shake will be more watery. But you're looking at a calorie drop of approx 300 doing this swap. And this drop would mean you lose over 20g protein and 30g fats.

Its really easy to make your own, using any nuts (or a mixture) and popping them in a food processor until the reach the right consistency. Add a little oil and that's it. Guaranteed salt free, and with exactly the right amount of oil you want. Weigh the nuts as you make it and you can figure out the exact calories. Will keep for a while in a good container.

Get broken nuts in bulk from Asian food shops or online and you can mix up your weight gainers and save money
