Anyone record the last episode of Spiral last night?

Murphy's Law. Followed the whole season of Spiral on BBC4 and set it to record the last two episodes last night, Sat March 16th. Turns out the last episode was 10 mins longer than previous episodes... so the recording is missing the last 10 minutes or so! Drat...

Anyone record it properly?

My Humax appears to have recorded it okay - 69 mins as opposed to usual 54 or so.

Going to watch the first episode of S1 later haven't seen any of it before, tell me this, is it in the same league as Forbrydelsen, I just finished the first series of that and loved it?

Probably a bit late but I was but overly keen on the first series. I waited over a year to watch the second one and it was miles better. Season three was better again. The fourth one was a little disappointing but well worth the watch. Forbrydelsen was the opposite in that it started superbly and went downhill. They're but really comparable in terms of content though.

Just watched the first episode on Netflix since it's of the 'foreign drama you should check out' variety. Pretty good, gritty. Even if you were to leave out the graphic autopsy/forensics I'd say tonally it's quite dark. Will check out more, there seems to be a lot going on.

Stick with it lads, it's a great show, up there with the Wire in my book.

Watched another episode which was pretty grim due to the death of a baby (shown, to a degree) and the fallout from that. I've no idea how the French justice system works, though there seems to be an awfulness to where some of the lines are drawn (like most systems, I guess), and the underhand stuff going on. Still, it's pretty forthright in its set up and everything, and yes, interconnected, to use that word.
