Problems with new runners

I got fitted yesterday for my first pair of ''proper'' runners and I had problems with them today. They felt fine in the shop and they were fitted for me but when I ran today they were really hurting me compared to my crappy runners, it felt like a needly bump (terrible description I know) was stabbing into my inner foot soles and I got blisters. Is this normal breaking in of runners? Or should I bring them back? They're Mizuno runners to aid over pronation if that helps and I wore socks to prevent blistering.

    Thanks

Old runners are always more confortable than new ones....that's why the one i bought last month are still in the box.

New runners, like any new shoes, need a bit of break-in time, but they should not hurt....light blistering is not unexpected.
Best is to wear them around the house, then go for short run until you feel confortable.

If in any doudt, and if you have bought them from a reputable running specialised shop, go back to them and have a chat. They will be able to advise.

Ring the store up where you bought them and ask them.
