You're not providing a lot of info !
What have you diagnosed/eliminated? If the cable is 'good' - in every sense - and the levers are not working, then you may have internal damage within the shifter, and this tends to be terminal - they are rarely fixable, as I found out quite recently. Alternatively, it might be something as simple as a cable problem.

i had some problems with my 5600 left hand shifter a while ago. after some googling i discovered that the earlier 5600 model (the one that's double and triple compatible) is prone to problems. There is an inherent defect and in many instances where it failed shimano have replaced the shifter. Apparently the left lever lends itself to being pushed to far when shifting (not sure what the right term is) and this can eventually lead to it failling. This sounded exactly like the problem i was having but it actually turned out to be the case that the cable casing got pulled into the mechanism (it actually sheared the ferrule clean off the end of the cable). Essentially it was the same cause but turned out in my case not to be terminal. Might be worth your while checking what model you have and seeing if its something that you could have replaced.
