    Hey

Good ol Fas sent me a text yesterday about courses in Digital Skills Academy.
Of course the last day for the webactivate program was the day before I got the text.

I took a stroll into town today and the girl told me I could apply for the Webelevate programme before monday. Has anybody done this? It is only part time, will I learn much? What sort of skills can I expect to obtain?

I'm just about to start this... it has taken an age to get registered etc. there's nearly 80 on the course divided into three strands. I'm as yet unsure of the quality of the course as we haven't been given much information. It's a 40-week course with about 16 weeks in class so, it's fairly intensive.
    All will be revealed...

@ Ultan, can you elaborate a little on your experience. Whats your background?

@ anyone who did it. I am a self employed graphic designer (did a diploma 15 years ago in graphics) but my knowledge doesn't go much beyond print which is why I was going to apply for the next one. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Anyone do this programme? and what did you think of the Digital Skills Academy?

I was in the Dublin City Civic Offices and they had some presentation there last week - some good projects.
I was asked by a student who I think had just started the course what i thought of it and I couldn't answer him...
but said the DIT link is a great selling point!
