    I applied the end of May 2012.....got approved last week. It will be backdated to end of June 2012. I don't know why NOT the end of May. Ain't gonna argue with them though! :-)

    Good news for you both, I hope the process has sped up somewhat now, but not holding out much hope. Still waiting to apply for carer's benefit, can't send application until we've received a PPS no for mam and client identity services have backlog.

    But They have some sort of new computerised system in place, apparently the can go through applications ALOt faster then the usual 9 month waiting time. (Your already 7 months in...)
