iphone 5 water damage

    Probably been asked a million times before....but a friend spilled water on tgeir iphone 5 and turned it on. Is there anything that can be done to save it?

    Bring it to a repair shop to be cleaned ASAP. Cathal at Irepair.ie can do it afaik

    Yeah asked many times; if you can't get to a shop now remove sim tray and try and suck out any water with a Hoover. Then put it in a sealed bag with (dry) rice overnight.
    Whatever you do don't charge it or switch it on before that. Often it will work after this but there might be corrosion that can give (future) problems so getting it professionally cleaned is a good idea.
    Lastly under certain conditions apple replace water damaged phones for a out-of-warranty charge (around €211 I think for a iPhone 5).
