Last one was a peach, and here's me just trying to get one straight shot off the tee!

It could do with a few more shots from Tiger...... :)

Can someone please tell me why those fing eejits run like maniacs whenever a ball lands within 50 yards of them ?

Your watching golf, it's a ball...what's the big deal ?

    "Look, look, look....a ball, a ball, a ball....run, run, run....look at it...looooooook."

    Muppets :D

I guess because the crowd with tiger is 3 4 deep.

With Tiger , could be your one and only time to stand and watch the greatest player of all time from 5 6 feet.

So that is logic. But they do look like muppets.

Hadn't thought of that. Makes a lot more sense now. Still don't think it's worth looking like that much of a fool on national tv though :D

They remind me of when I used to bring my younger brother and sister to feed the ducks.

Wouldn't it be class if a ball left a trail like that. Never lose one again.

The embedded youtube videos never work for me (on my work pc, fine at home) but if you click the title of the video to be redirected to youtube it works there (well it does for me!).

Is it just me or does the downward path on pro tracer not look right - the path seems to lose the trajectory and just drop down, as opposed to continuing on as it would in real life?

Is it not just the fact the ball is further away from the camera therefore the ball looks like it is dropping straight down out of the sky.

Great video. Pity there wasnt more of Bubba Watson. That guy can shape the ball :-)

I'd say if you were over at The Open this year and Tiger was in front and landed one beside you, instinct and excitement would probably make you run as fast as anyone to be beside it ;-)

I'd stand on it and plug it.

    By accident of course ;)

I'd love to see a tracer of that wedge in the playoff at the Masters

No, that's a real effect. Earlier in its trajectory the ball is travelling faster and hence the its spin is more effective in generating a curved trajectory. Later on, it has lost some if its spin and air resistance has slowed it down, so the ball just drops down under gravity.

It's also the difference between the pros and us mere mortals. They "trap" the ball with hands in front at impact instead of sweeping it like we do. It sends the ball out lower with more spin. The ball climbs late in its flight as a result, then drops out of the sky. Beautiful to watch, hard to replicate.
