    Hi guys, currently on a Qosmio F20-136. She's upgraded to Windows 8 (after using a downloaded driver hack to get the graphics card to work on win8) but after trying to get Autodesk 123d to work (which it won't without some CTDing), I think the time has come. I want to get into 3d modelling and this machine won't do it. I need a desktop.

    1. What is your budget? [€500ish, but the less the better. Willing to pay more if it's needed, but build will take longer.]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [3d Modelling/Flight sims/ARMA3 levels of gaming.]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yup. Windows 8 is going in.]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [I've an enclosure, and two 2.5" drives, one SATA 80 GB, one IDE 465 GB]

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yep.]

    5a. If yes, what size do you need? [Not pushed about size, Laptop's current 15.4" screen feels huge to me. As long as I get my 1280x800 resolution or better I'm good. I'll also be adding two more flatscreens at a later date, so multiscreen support's required.]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [wireless, dvd drive, wifi, though this thing's going to be part of a flight sim build, so I really need as many USB ports as possible!]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card]

    9. When are you purchasing? [whenever I can in the next few months, piece by piece.]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Thanks, I'm good to do it myself.]

    Any ideas?

    PS: Just looked up the recommended specs for ARMA 3, which would be the highest demanding game I'd be willing to put on this thing. I'd see this as a benchmark for what I want to do. If it can run ARMA 3, then it can do everything else I want it to do.
