    Hi
    I will be interviewed soon (fingers crossed) to gain entry to social science in sept 2013
    Does anyone have any tips or any ideas as to what I will be asked? Would love some help if anybody knows anything so I can prepare properly

    Do you mean social studies or sociology/social policy? Both are in the school of social sciences...

    I had my mature student interview last year. (I applied for Science though) It's pretty relaxed, but I was so nervous beforehand!

    They asked me why I was interested in the course and if I was prepared for the workload over the years, if I'd be getting any support or help, if needed, from friends or family. Your questions might be a little different, but they generally want to know how well suited and interested in the course you are.

    I also said that if I wasn't accepted that year I would do a related lower-level 1-year course to help for applying again next year. (I applied for that too to keep my options open). I think that helped as I was accepted!

    Hi Im not sure if this is the right place to ask but here I go any way? Has anyone that has applied as a Mature Student for Speech and Language in TCD got any hints/tips for the interview process.Any help would be much appreciated!! :-)
