Right planning on going for a few days in London in either last week of June to first week in July, is there anything major happening during those two weeks? don't want to be bogged down with hotel prices etc..

    Thanks

There's always something 'major' going on in London but it's so large and has so many beds that prices aren't really affected. The major impact on price will be the fact that you're going in summer, but off the top of my head I know that Wimbledon is on around then so maybe stay away from hotels in the South-West for that reason.

Might be worth checking events listings sites like TimeOut to see what's on a particular weekend.

If you look up visitlondon.com wesbsite - it is the official London city guide and it has a lot of information.
