Usually the only two issues with changing a head unit are the size (refered to as din, i.e. single din, double din etc) and the plugs that go into the back of the unit. Most aftermarket stereos will need an adaptor wiring loom for the original plug in the car.

Halfords sell these for most car makes and models.

If the new head unit is smaller than the old one, you will need a facia adaptor, which is just a piece of plastic that fits into the gap left with the smaller unit. Again halfords should be able to supply.

The actual fitting is as simple as unplugging the old and pluging in the new

what radio in which car goes ? sometimes may wire up without adaptors. usually there is 4 pairs of wires for speakers, 1 wire for constant 12 volts, 1 for switch radio when ignition on, and ground. i installed few of them without adapters.

If they mentioned a loop to you its most likely do to your car's canbus wiring and an additional cable/box being needed so you can control the headunit from the controls on the steering wheel. Try Liam - 046-9024853
