I'm hoping to transfer some of my gear from a recently cracked carbon bike onto an used steel or alloy frame to make for a usable winter ride. In terms of compatibility issues the existing mech is Dura Ace and the finishing kit and cranks are FSA (all with plenty of winter wear already, so they're not worth flogging).

I just had to shell out for a summer bike so I'm aiming low in terms of price (working under a €250 ceiling) - but I don't want to be looking at an eyesore all winter either, so I'm hoping for something with a bit of character and a few miles left in the tank.

If you have anything a bit like this I'd like to hear from you...

    Hi

I have a Viner Pro Team frameset I bought to use as a winter frame but it didn't see much use, first baby scuppered that!

Made from Columbus Airplane, same as Colnago Dream frames, with a full columbus carbon fork. Top tube measures 55cm, headtube 15cm with internal headset.

Really nice frame, very light, silver in colour 200euro

I'll post a picture later if you'd be interested

Here's a picture of it before it was built. If you want to have a look at it let me know. I'm based in the Dublin 2

Thanks for the picture, I'm definitely interested. Are you the first owner? Do you know how old it is in man years?
