Cold Weather or New Battery?

I've been having a few non-starts the past two weeks mainly in morning but not always and about 3/4 weeks ago when turning on the engine it seemed to struggle to start but gave it a few revs, could this be the cold weather or do i need a new battery? I've had 4/5 jump starts in past two weeks and i've a nct on Friday which I'm nervous about.

It's a 05 renault scenic and as far as i know it's the original battery so would 8 years be time to change it? How much is a battery these days? Also when
I had to get jump start yesterday morning when battery went flat, when I went to drive my 05 renault scenic, it is now asking for a radio code. I have the drivers & radio manual but no radio code is printed on inside cover.

Is there anywhere on the car I can find it or any other way of knowing other than going to a renault dealer?

    Thanks

Change the battery, 8 years is really the tip point of end of the road for batteries.

Just pick one up in local motor factors or halfords

    Should be around 50-65 Euro.

You will have to contact Renault for the Radio Code. There are some websites for radio codes but quite unreliable.

Sounds like a battery problem for starting as for the radio code there is a special sheet in the owners manual where the radio serial number and codes are.

Any decent motor factor will have a battery tester, that's where I would start..

its on the way out. itll prob still show as decent.

cold has a big impact on batterys. but if it reacts that badly its bate anyway.

on check it get first is get a auto electrician to test the alternator output. prob cost ya nothing but it rules that out as it might not be charging the battery much
