Thought these year gone for at least 20 years, but signed up last week for a milk man delivery service. No need to pop out to the shop at night anymore to have milk for the morning it's right outside my door.
    Very convenient

Any one else recently get a milkman or just me ?

that, and a misread debate on the ethnicity of milkmen these days but it looks like its failed to derail.

We never lost ours. Always goin round in his van at 3 in the morning every odd day or so. Surprised the milk isn't solidified on the doorstep these days.

Dont get the milk delivered ourselves but there's a few elderly people and a few disabled people who get it.

Some fúcker swiped the milk off my doorstep one night a while ago so the milkman has to hide it. Always a treasure hunt before I get my milk.

I have had one for around 2 years now. It was also a sales rep from the milk company who signed me up. I think he got a load of business in my area. Have to be careful of the milk man charges though, he has an aweful habit of forgetting that he was paid as he only turns up for money every 3-5 weeks and has an aweful habit of making it seem longer

Since when is England a milkman?

Depends on where you live I suppose, not every area has them.

I used to have a milkman back in the 90's, but I stopped getting milk off him because by the time I woke up to get the milk during the summer (9am at the latest) it was already gone warm or sour due to the heat.

Mind you, summers seemed awfully hotter back then.

My milkman is called Yuri. Nice man. He's not black. Not that being black would mean he's not nice. OK, just forget I said anything about him being black or not being black, that makes no difference to his milk delivering abilities or his levels of niceness.
Anyway, he'd like to see a return to glass milk bottles and so would I.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Well since you mention it my milkman reckons he is loosing a lot of his business to the new black milkman who has just started to encroach on his area. Reckons it's the fast twitch muscles in his fingers which allows him to carry 14 milk bottles in each hand. Can do 3 or 4 houses before he even has to go back to the float for more.

Wasn't there a song about that guy?

A one hit wonder though in later years his bottle clinking skillz were used when he overdubbed 'The Warriors' film soundtrack.

What are people doing with all this milk that they need it delivered a few times a week

I would buy a 1 litre carton every 2 or 3 weeks and it's usually gone out of date before it's finished and that is with 2 of us in the house.

I've seen the guy in my parents' area delivering from 9:30 the night before, fairly taking the piss really.
