Has anyone an idea where I'd get such a contraption (the small ones, not the big ones you hook up to the 3 point link) here in Ireland, without having to order from abroad, and how much it would cost. It's only for filling barrels of water from a river, so it won't be under too much pressure! If anyone could point me in the right direction, it's be much appreciated!

sounds like the pump from a sprayer would do that.

should be plenty Hardi parts lying about.

make sure it's not frost damaged when you find one.

Bought one for 80 euro in local agri suppliers last year, i find it a great job for drawing water from a river.

How high does she pump? What is the brand name?

Have a shed about 15 feet above a water source. Would be handy on mornings like this (-4 degrees) when the pipes are frozen.

Its a simple setup, sits on to pto, stabilise it with chains, an inlet and an outlet.
Can put any length of pipe on to it within reason.
Fills an ibc tank from small river in 7 minutes

Any harm to ask whereabouts you purchased? Does / can it get clogged with weed or other debris?

Cannot get clogged, there is a filter on the head that goes into river.

Got it from these Guys - http://obrienstractors.com/ - but any agri supplier should be able to source

Those PTO pumps and PTO compressors are very handy implements but they are also potential killers since the spinning shaft is usually exposed on them. A neighbour of mine was killed using a PTO powered power washer after his coat caught in the shaft. Be careful with them.

Thanks adne. What length inlet / outlet pipes do you have and what size? Does it need priming of any sort? Can different length pipes be fitted? Looks a handy job...

Its 2inch connection on both sides, i have 15 foot of pipe on each.
Ive only used it to draw from a river thats 15ft below where pto is running and up another 6/7 foot to ibc tank on a trailer
