Hunting Events Thread - Opinions

I'm starting this thread to gauge interest for a dedicated Hunting Events Thread.

It will be ran like the Competitions/Events thread in Target Shooting.

We won't allow chat in the thread as it will be solely used to inform others about events such as Trials, Training Sessions, Fairs, etc.

A separate thread can be started to discuss who's going, what you thought of it, would you go again, etc.

Once the event is over the post in the thread will be deleted to keep things tidy.

Let us know what you think.

I would be interested in this. I'd probably bring the pup to get him used to other strange dogs.

Dev would it be possible to have a thread with recommended web sites to buy gear from, like if someone sees a good deal on something they post it up (shooting related obviously not if they bought a half price toaster somewhere)or if they get good service , i have used a few internet sites lately for buying gear and got some great service and super deals.

I'll discuss it with the other mods and see if we can come up with anything. I'll let you know shortly.

Soon enough the first page will be just sticked threads... Wasnt Cass' merging of a lot of them to reduce them? there's more than ever now..

We always try to minimise stickies and the petition thread won't be there for that much longer (as long as we keep up the rate we're going) so it will be back to 7 which we always had.

I merged 5 of them over the last few months, but between new threads, suggestios, etc we are back up to 8. It'll be down to 7 soon enough, but with the forum charters, rules, law threads, picture theads, video threads, etc (and that is not counting the thread that were stickied or ones that people want stickied) it's an ever ending cycle.
Forum Charter - Useful Information - Photo thread: Hardware - Ranges by County - Hunting Laws/Important threads - Upcoming Events - RFDs by County

If you see a problem post use the report post function. Click on the three dots on the post, select "FLAG" & let a Moderator deal with it.

Would it be possible to put it as sub section in the for sale/ wanted.

How many threads have we seen were lads are looking for something and start a thread about it ,myself included, it might be a way of tiding that up.
