Hi everyone, I have a ewe scanned with twins who refuses to eat. I split the feeding morning and night and today both times she refused to eat. She was standing beside the trough not interested in it at all. Normally she would knock you down for nuts. This is my first year of keeping sheep properly. Am I over-reacting. If not, what can I do to solve it.

You can get liquid lectade for sheep which keeps them going through times they're off their food, it,s actually vital that they get something like that to keep them going if they're not eating

Yeah thanks got it this morning. I gave it to her around 12 and put her in the shed. She's picking at a bit of hay so hopefully she'll be grand.

Give it to her three times a day until she's eating, how much does she get...is it around 100ml...it makes them thirsty so make sure she has clean water

This is what I make up for TLD, got it from a book years ago and it seems to work well, I make up 5 litres but I'll give you ingredients for 1 litre,
    600ml glycerine
    125g glucose
    50g sea salt
    50g bread soda
    25g table salt
    100ml calcium lactate

    120ml three times/day
before you ask, I've forgotten where I got the calcium lactate, but you can leave it out, its just a pick up
