I,M looking for a Quiet power supply for a shuttle pc.
it has cpu athlon, 2.0ghz ,single core.dvdrom, one drive 80gig.pci grahics card
    128eg vram.
    see here
    http://img.tomshardware.com/us/2006/07/28/shuttle_xpc_sn27p2/shuttle-am2-inside.jpg
the old one is 3 to 4 inches long,3inch wide approx.
AT THE moment it has 300 watt psu.
i,d like a power supply ,maybe 200watt ,or lower, thats quieter,
That i can buy in a shop, maplins ,peats, eg no from some uk website,
or at least fro an irish website, that has a collection ,pickup point.
THe primary quality is quietness ,pc is just used for youtube, web browsing.i can even take out the dvd drive, to make more room,
reduce power ,wattage on the psu.

the original psu was very quiet.
the present psu is 5x 4 inch approx, fits inside the case.

By the looks of it you need an SFX PSU, and they're not easy to come by. I'll tell you right now, you won't find one in a bricks and mortar shop, and if by some miracle you do, it will be horrible.

Why do you want to buy from an Irish site exactly? You're restricting yourself massively by doing that.

The only half decent one I could find was from Elara.ie

i,d prefer a 220, 200 watt cpu, dont need that much power,
    less power = less noise.
SO can you recommend a uk site that sells small 220watt psu, s?
Some irish website,s s have a pick up ,collection point.

The only one I know of is Komplett, and their selection of normal parts is pretty horrible, never mind something specific.

And it's not wattage that determines how quiet a PSU will be, it's efficiency. (Well, and the fan)

That's actually the best PSU I can find. There really aren't that many options with SFX. Silverstone does a 450W Gold unit, but I know for a fact the fan on that thing is horribly loud. Best bet is just to go with that one.
