    Is that €2000? or €200? if €200

That cpu is half your budget and you wont to get board, ram, graphics (you cant afford anyway), cooling and the rest for that for video editing and any type of gaming really.

If your editing anything Intel is the way to go.

You might want to up the budget a good bit

EDIT: Do you have the cpu already?

Assuming I'm not missing anything here, this should be all you need:

    Item|Price
    ASRock H61M-DGS, Sockel 1155, mATX|€39.89
    Intel Core i3-3225 Box, LGA1155|€116.89
    8GB G.Skill PC3-10667U CL9|€41.39
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€217.16

Hyperthreaded dual core processor with HD 4000 graphics, and a motherboard with dual monitor support. It will kick the pants off an X4.

Kicks the pants off is a bit harsh I think :P (Aside from the fact the lack of an IGP on the 955 makes it completely unsuitable here).

There not a whole lot in it for the most part, given a FM2 motherboard would set you back almost another €30 over the H61 I can't see any compelling reason to choose the 5800K here, especially when you look at some benchmarks head to head

You're right. The X4 is actually within around 10% of the i3 in most cases, except for single threaded performance where the i3 is twice as fast.

Although it also must be noted it wouldn't look quite so good for the 955 if one was to stick a powermeter into the wall either :)
