So recently I've been trying to eat to my macros (25c 35p 40f) however I seem to max these particularly the fat and sometimes carbs but never protein:confused: long before I reach my calorie goal (1400) which I believe could be leading me to stray from my diet somedays. if I am eating to my macros I usually manage ~1050 calories a day (never the 1400) but I will not feel hungry? however on other days I will feel really hungry, could this be from the low calorie intake over accumilated days?

    typical day of late:
    • Breakfast: some form of meat (chicken, bacon, beef, sometimes fish) salad, cheese, coleslaw, sometimes home made soup
    • Lunch: homemade mix veg soup (leek, celery, onion, potatoe, carrots, turnip, parsnip, added flax and hemp seed) and a small salad with cheese and maybe meat/coleslaw
    • Dinner: Again either meat and salad/veggies/soup
    • snacks: I try always have trail mix with me during the day (nuts & dried fruit)
I guess my question is does it really matter if i'm over my macros(particularly fat) by much ? and how can i add more protein without adding fat? sorry if it seems a ridiculus question it's just been really bothering me... thanks for any help

I probably should have put this in nutrition sorry :/

Straight away from that post I think your calorie intake may be too low...
I know that's not your query and I don't know your height/weight etc... but that's quite low for anyone.

If you're looking to add more protein incorporate different things into your snacks like beef jerky, tuna, cottage cheese? Having those instead of just the trail mix would lower the fat a bit for you.
You could also try whey protein? I was adverse to it for ages but I've recently started using it for days when I do lifting to up my protein easily. I mix it into oat bran and make pancakes or have it in porridge.

I suppose your macros depend on your overall aims and what want to achieve but as I said I'd assume with such low calories the macros won't make much of a difference.

Thanks a mill for the reply doctorwhogirl , do you mean the overall cals are too low (1400)- I kinda think that is too low sometimes however according to sites like My fitness pal suggest my RDA is ~1700) i'm 5"2/3, 50kg? sorry I should have said it's mainly fat loss I am looking for. I'm always looking to buy beef jerkey, can only find it in some convienience shops like spar and mace (think they're about €3.99 here for a small bag) bit steep imo:o. know any supermarkets I may be able to get the beef jerky? again thanks for the advice :)
