Space to do my own car maintenance

I have a couple of classic cars and a campervan and I do all my own maintenance. I have a good range of tools and only a driveway on which to do it all, which is on a slope which makes using axle stands dangerous. Today it's raining and the van is due in for its DOE next weekend and I really need to get the jobs done on it. What I would love to find is some sort of sheltered area where I can go to do the work if it's raining. It doesn't even have to be a garage. A disused garage forecourt which still has its canopy, or something like that would even do. I know there was a place called the pit lane in Tallaght, which is a great idea and all that but even that's more than I need and it's gone now anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have the exact same problem as yourself, my drive way is small and on a slope, I wish I still lived at my old place as it had a flat drive and plenty of room, hope someone can recommend a DIY garage like the ones you can hire out over in the UK.

Any family/friends who you could borrow their driveway/carporch for a few hours?

I've been looking for something similar in Galway, just a spot to have a project car or two and do maintenance. Driveway works on sunny days (mine is flat) but wind, rain or snow really makes you wish for a warm brightly lit garage.
It doesn't have to have a lift, just four walls and a roof lol.

Glad I'm not the only one in this boat! Another issue I have is the height of the roof on the campervan. It's an 80s VW T25 with a hightop so its a big beast.

There's a small independent petrol station that used to be a jet service station way back when but I've heard cause there so quiet they are letting people do work on there forecourtfor a small fee.
It's on the Whitechurch Road in rathfarnham.

That's good info! Thanks man! I might drop in next time I'm out that way and ask them.
