Hey, I've read from a number of sources that taking glucose with the creatine increases the uptake of creatine into muscle. But is there any advantage to getting the creatine into the muscles faster? It doesn't degrade quickly at all so won't pretty much the same amount get taken up without glucose (although a bit slower)? Would this have any effects because once you have been on it for a few weeks what difference does it make if it is taken in when you take it or an hour or two later? Is there any research on this?

Doesn't taking anything with glucose increase the uptake to muscles? That's the insulin spike you're getting. That's why it's good to have a high carb high protein food source after a gym session. The insulin spike makes good use of the protein available quickly.

I don't think it matters really,
There's a lot of opinions on creatine and how to take creatine. I've heard people should take it with something sugary like juice, I've heard people shouldn't take it with water it ruins it, I've heard people should dissolve it in warm water before drinking it. I've heard people argue endlessly about amounts. and so on and so on.

^I think listening to any of that is a waste of time. I'd just throw some into your PWO shake. Most wheys will have sugars in them anyway if that matters.

I'm wondering just out of interest really, I can't imagine it would have to much of a practical difference. But even if it is slower to be taken up by muscles with water does that make a difference? Since it degrades so slowly I would have thought that none will be wasted and even if its a bit slower you will still practically use the same amount.
