I used to think Kenneth Egan was a bit full of himself, but he seems to have changed since he gave up the drink and addressed his issues.

Hopefully he will do well for himself now he has hung up the Gloves.

I really enjoyed watching Kenny, Mick Dowling and Bernard Dunne during the Olympics and who will ever forget Kenny's stonewashed jacket  At least it made a lot of money for charity when it was auctioned off :D

Fergal Quinn should be good, I'm suprised he didn't do Dragons Den, certainly can't be short of a few bob from the Superquinn sale and he knows the consumer well.

Brendan will also be joined by Senator Fergal Quinn who was named most admired entrepreneur in January 2013.

Considering a lot of our "entrepreneurs" are in the youknowwhat, that award probably didn't take much winning this year.

I wonder if Brendan will ask him about this nonsensical idea:

I always scratch my head when I see that Fergal Quinn show. He is going around fixing up everybody else's shop, but if you go into any Superquinn outlets the places are generally holes.

Feargal and the Quinn family sold Superquinn back in 2005. Superquinn is now owned by the Musgrave Group (they also own Supervalu, Mace, Londis, Centra, Daybreak and some other brands).

Yeah a few of those were a bit below the belt and he got backed into a corner at one point but he came back strong and gave as good as he got.

Personally I thought the sexy girl walking around with the board with the numbers on it was a bit cliche but welcome nonetheless

    Mrs D.

I'm going to Ennis tomorrow to watch Galway hammer Clare.

I'll meet you for a Choc Ice at half time if you're still around at that stage. :pac:

I mean, her reason for being there is a complete non-story. Good luck to her, but why is she getting this exposure?

Aw would ye leave her alone.. At least it's not somebody from RTE being promoted by RTE for a change...

It's a pity that Brendan Courtney and Sonia Lennon, instead of bringing out a ridiculously shocking line in clothing, did not get behind Laura and help push her to the forefront of irish design where she belongs. She's the kind of person that makes you proud to be Irish.

    LOL :D:D:D

I'll actually be in Ennis myself tomorrow, it's a bit cold for a Choc Ice but I'll meet you for a Midleton :p;)

I think (and hope) Laura can do better than re-imagine the Amish Community's look :pac:

    Ah, bugger..
Had actually had a change of heart/mind and decided it probably wasn't a 'complete' non-story and deleted my post.
Was hoping no-one would see it/quote it..
Anyway, i agree with you, presuming she has no major link to any big decision-makers in RTE.
