The Russell Brand Show Is Back! (well.. for one episode anyways!)

Huge fan of the Russell Brand show with Matt Morgan back in the day.. so chuffed with this news - although only for one episode!

Russell Brand is returning to the radio airwaves for a special broadcast to promote this year's Teenage Cancer Trust benefit shows.

Brand will join forces with Noel Gallagher on Xfm for a three-hour show later this month. The comedian and actor's former Russell Brand Show co-host Matt Morgan and poet Mr Gee will also join the pair in the studio.

"Russell is one of the world's most unique talents, and it's a travesty he's been off the radio for so long," said the station's managing editor Chris Baughen.

"Xfm is the perfect home for this show, and we'll be welcoming him back to where he started his radio career with open arms."

Station bosses have promised that the broadcast will feature a number of surprises and special guests.

Brand and Gallagher's show will air between 9pm and midnight on Monday, March 18.

The Teenage Cancer Trust gigs, which are curated by Gallagher, start on Tuesday, March 19 at the Royal Albert Hall.

Brand hosted a night of stand-up comedy, music and entertainment at Wembley Arena in aid of Comic Relief on Wednesday (March 6), where Gallagher was one of the musical guests.

Used to love the show, nice to see it back even if it's only a once off!

I wonder would XFM give Russell et al a regular slot if it goes down well? He doesn't seem to be doing much in the US anymore so maybe they'd consider it....

It was a fantastic show back in the day.

Sometimes that was in spite of Brand rather than because of him but most of the time he was top notch.

Look forward to hearing Matt Morgan again.

I thought it was pretty good.

Its terrific hearing Matt back on the air, Him & Russell were on good form together.

Guests were ok, though I don't really care for Noel Fielding much.

Mr G can make a poem out of anything.
