Hi. I'm looking for some advice on a build that I'm doing for a relative. I'm not amazingly technical myself, but this will be my third build in 2 years, so I'm learning a little. I've been reading back through the forum, and seen lots of great advice, but I thought I'd throw up a post of my own and see what people think.

Broadly, as it's not for myself, ideally I want to put it together, set it up, and leave it without having to come back too often for maintenance.

    1. What is your budget? I've no fixed maximum. Willing to spend the right amount to get the right hardware. Perhaps €1,500 as a guideline, if I can come in under that, great, if I need to go over, that's fine.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? General use and a bit of gaming - main game is The Sims. That needs to run smoothly with all the expansions installed.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speaker - Yes, going to include all of these in case they're needed, rather than having to go shopping again at a later date.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No, I haven't done it before and want to keep the installation as hassle free as possible.

    8. How can you pay? Any method

    9. When are you purchasing? As soon as I finalise the build I'm going to put in the order.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.
