This question was always thrown around when I was a kid? Arms or Legs, which would you choose if you could only have one pair and why , and you can't have one arm and one leg because that's cheating even though your daily activties would be serioulsy difficult.

Everything ever worth accomplishing was accomplished with the aid arms.

Legs are just dead weight imo.

So the Tour de France was one for the past 100 years with arms? Usain Bolt ran 9.63 100m with his arms? Some serious accomplishments there with legs..

I'd prefer my arms tbh, wouldn't like being fed by people. That said i'd miss my legs :P

Definitely arms. I'd only ditch my arms if I had the ability to **** myself off with my feet.

You need drugs for the TdF and haven;t you ever heard of the paralympics?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

The question is why are you still asking yourself and others questions you should have grown out of before you were 8.

You can do a lot of stuff without arms except wipe your arse or have a nice stretch.

They're sporting accomplishments, I mean accomplishments like landing on the moon.

No, and for asking you get nothing but legs everywhere.

Well, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg, with a leg for an arm, and an arm for a leg

You really don't. Lets not spoil this thread by going into a minority thing in the tour.

Yes I've heard of them. That's not the TdF though and I don't know if there is just hand cycling in the paralympics or if there's a mens/womens road race. I know there is track riding.

People can land on the moon without legs.. It just won't be 'One small step for man and one giant leap for mankind'.. :P

Deffo arms. So I could still do all the actions to Head Shoulders Knees and .... Oh wait...

True, but they couldn't walk on the moon.

And he's called Neil ARMstrong for a reason.
It just won't be 'One small step for man and one giant leap for mankind'.
"One small awkward wobble/roll hybrid for man, one giant awkward wobble/roll hybrid for mankind!".

Not being able to win the Tour (or any sporting achievement) would not be a factor for me when deciding. My point though is that people have succeeded in sports without legs I vaguely remember someone winning archery gold from a wheelchair.

When I was a kid, we use to have no-hands-on-the-handlebars aces up and down the street. Some of them even ended well!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I'd agree with you there that great sporting achievements have come from people with no legs. Take Oscar Pistorius... actually lets not:pac:

But I get your drift, people have had great sporting achievements with no legs/bladed/in wheelchairs.

Emphasis on the some :P When I lived in an estate a few years ago we used to try the no hands approach going down steps:pac:

Arms. Easy choice, you can do more things with arms & there more accurate than legs.

Plus you need arms to be a Clown.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,410 ✭✭✭bbam

    Has to be arms.
With no legs you can do most things for yourself. With no arms your just too dependant on others for tooany things.

Bring it back to basics, how many lads can open a bra clasp with their toes, and even trying would ruien the flow of things.

I'm keeping my arms please !

    Arms. Really stupid question OP

    Keep my arms

trying to use a mouse and hitting WASD with toes are a nightmare

Arms are a must in this world. You can counter the loss of legs with modern transport etc, but it's hard to type or use a phone without arms.

I'd keep the arms, they'd make more sense to keep. It's a lot harder to grip stuff with your toes.

maybe you should consider 1 leg and 1 arm?mix it up a bit, think outside the box? get out of your comfort zone.
