Just get really really disgustingly filthy rich and/or powerful.

If you're really fugly and have an ugly personality and are thick as a plank and completely unlikeable, you're finished. If you're fugly and you have something else going on to redeem yourself, you'll be fine.

No one could call Stephen Hawking a guy with all the boxes ticked physically, but you could hardly say his life isn't worth living. An extreme case maybe, but it demonstrates the point.

It's actually a valid Question that you asked OP. I feel I have been treated differently at times simply by my appearance
( I don't think I'm hideously ugly mind ) I think perhaps I look a little "dodgy" or "scumy" looking LOL. I think a lot of folk can be shallow and sometimes downright rude toward others by the way a person looks ( which is actually pathetic and sad ) . It's the one ISM that doesn't get taking seriously enough.
