Is it possible to view how much time I spent in each heart rate zone on Garmin Connect or the desktop version. I could almost swear i could do this before but now I only see the average and max hr when I go into zones.

I dont think so......one of the reasons I prefered Strava when I had a trial premium membership - not sure if thats even still an option with Strava Premium. With Garmin Connect, you can alter the zones:
    1. Select Settings.
    2. Select Training Zones.
    3. You can change the Default heart rate zones. You can also change heart rate zones specifically for any Running or Cycling activities.
    4. Select the mode you’d like to edit by clicking the bpm or %max at the top of each column.
    5. Enter the floor for each field.
    6. Click Save.

conversely, Strava didn't (at that time -12 mths ago) allow you to manually set the zones, it was simply a % of your HRmax.

I dont think this helps you at all......:o

Strava premium allows you to manually adjust all your HR zones, no longer fixed to %MHR.

I can do it with RidewithGPS which is extremely user friendly. Great analysis. Trumps Garmin Connect and Strava by a country mile.

Will give Golden Cheetah a go. Looks like a real number cruncher going by the screenshots.
