On tax disc, between engine CC parameter, and word "PRIVATE" there is some symbol.
In example above, there is either SN or D.
On my tax disc is "MO".
I assumed this described a county in which car was recently taxed.
So in my case it's MO - Mayo. D would be for Dublin. All in line with reg numbers.

But what does SN stand for? SN is not used as symbol for reg numbers.
Anyone has any link explaining, or knows what this about?

Shannon? If you apply online and it gets sent from there as opposed to an public office?

    Thanks.
    That's it.
I just looked at some old discs I had, and all the ones I had renewed online are with "SN" while the ones from motor tax office are MO.

    Thnaks.
