I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a decent supplier of internal sliding doors. I am looking for something like the attached; have looked around a few places in Dublin but the designs are pretty standard - not many options etc.

    All recommendations welcome

Just build the doors into your walls,to that they slide back and vanish into the walls.

Thats what I did......(well I mean thats what our builder did).:)

Unfortunately thats not an option as the wall is supporting, need to find a builder that will put in an rsj and make the opening, I am struggling to find anyone. I am getting windows done in the house at the same time, but most window companies will only do the heads (where required) and nothing else. I get the impression they dont even like doing the heads. The house is a small terraced house built in the 1950's, this isnt a big job but I am a bit stuck at the mo trying to find someone to do the work.

Any propper/decent builder can do that with no problems at all.

Our walls with the sliding doors are load bearing too.

Bit of work involved, but nothing major.:)

Hiya, have a look at this DIY thread
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=61305528
If you find regular doors that you like one of these systems might create the sliding option you want
    HTH

    Any door will do.

Ball bearing sliding track system mounted over head and the door mounted to the track.

Knock the hole in your wall, install an RSJ or concrete lintel overhead and then build a false wall to allow the door to slide back and vanish into the wall from both sides.

    Simples.
