Thats because Atlantic were owned by the same company who own Woodies....(Grafton Group)

Atlantic was let go then,as it was in financial trouble

All the old Atlantic Homecares are now gone and Woodies are now there,in their place.;)

NO and NO they are not connected.

Argos and Homebase are owned by the same larger british company though.;)

"Cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or powertools", feck it.I spotted a 24v cordless drill for €49.99 & was going to use one of these vouchers against it:(

    Thanks OP!

BTW does anyone know when Woodies might be planning their next offer on Gardening stuff?

Need to get some bales of compost but hoping to get it when one of the deals are on, buy 2 get a third free etc, I got some last year when they had a good deal on, if I recall correctly they were selling bales for something like €3 each then, would be great to get something similar this year

It was a special offer outside Woodies,Airside.

75 litre bags of Erin for 3 euro 50 cents a bag.

Bought a few bags of it,for potting up a good few plants and flowers.:)

I'd ask the manager how strict they are with this t&c, a sale is a sale after all and I'd say they'd take the voucher

I recall the last time I tried to use a similar offer lots of things were intelligible.

Woodies already have reduced offers , 3 for 2 etc. they wouldn't allow this discount instead.

Just something to bear in mind before you arrive at checkout with a full trolley

Heres a good one for you.

Gutter Hedgehog is 22 euro in Woodies.

With 20% off its 17 euro 60 cents.

I can get it in my local builders for 18 euro retail....and if I ask for a discount there, then I can get it for 15 euro 60 cents.

So even with 20% off Woodies are still over priced.::o

I have to agree with some of the previous posters.
The voucher states "save 20% on almost everything"
But then lists a pretty comprehensive list of exclusions
excludes: "....special offers or during sale periods. Cannot be used on Garden
Sheds, Electric Showers, Large Appliances, Lawnmowers, Garden Powertools, Powertools or
    the purchasing of Gift Cards/Vouchers"

I used one of these a while back and as most of the items I picked up were on "special offer", I found that the only thing that qualified for the discount was a bag of cement.
    lesson learned

Just be aware that if an item is on offer it will be excluded from the discount. Hard to keep track of this when you are at the till

Can you picture a minibus of Boardsies descending on the same branch of Woodies en masse to fill their trollies and head to the checkouts together, if Woodies start playing silly beggars and not applying the discount just cancel the whole transaction and leave the goods at the till :D:D:D

I dont know who much more long Woodies will actually survive for.

Id say they might be the next to suffer and have to shut down various stores.

Stores in Blanch and Finglas both received larges extensions following the demise of Atlantic and Chadwicks downsize. Both huge stores, and both with prices to match. Pure & utter rip-off in so many departments.

It hurts me when I need to visit them for urgent supplies.

Most folk have probably seen this before. 20% off this weekend at Woodies on almost everything.

Cannot be used on Garden Sheds, Electric Showers, Large Appliances, Lawnmowers, Garden Powertools, Powertools or the purchasing of Gift Cards/Vouchers.

    Print the voucher off below:

Yeah was thinking that, just want to be 100% that and the "large appliances" is abit of a broad term.

I'd be arguing the toss if they said no. What is more is that Woodies would only be too delighted with a sale of few hundred euro so I'm sure the manager will be more than willing to take 20% off than get ZERO !:)

You will spend more time cleaning out the filters and unclogging it than you will actually cleaning out the fireplace/stove.

    They are crap.:(
