Recommend a "wedding" photographer in Waterford

I am getting married in August. It is going to be a very intimate "wedding", with just 8 guests and for that reason we are not looking for a run-of-the-mill, group wedding shots photographer. We don't really want that "staged" look to the photos, just some candid, intimate photos of our day.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a photographer in the area, who might have a website so i can see their work?

    Have a look at:
    http://www.aspectphotography.net/
Shane O' Neill is his name and as you can see he is a fantastic photographer.
Im sure you will find cheaper (based on nothing more than the quality of the photos) but take a look anyway.

Lisa Walsh is good too - http://www.lwphotography.ie/

Kensutz on here, I've sent him a link to this thread also, so he'll probably reply himself.

Have a look for lisa walsh photography, she is excellent, v informal natural shots without imposing on your day. She is based in Dunmore East..

Have a look at her website: http://www.lwphotography.ie/

I'm going to big up Alan Magner Photography. Check out his Facebook page in that link, and decide for yourself. Although, he's a busy man and i think he might be booked up for the year...

+1 for Colin Shanahan. Great photographer.

Also +1 for Colin. We have him booked for our own wedding next year having attended a couple of weddings that he photographed and seen the results. Wouldn't go past him.

There are actually a lot of good photographers in Waterford looking at it now. And no one has mentioned the golden oldies O'Carroll or Murphy yet!

    Shane O Neill at www.aspectphotography.net

He's one of the photographers other photographers try to emulate. The others mentioned are decent too, but it's your wedding so go for the local with the international reputation.

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone, really appreciate it.

Think we've pretty much decided to go with kensutz (if he'll have us lol!). He seems to have just picked up exactly what I'm after from my very vague musings and of course, I'm delighted to be able to give the business to a fellow boardsie too.

    Thanks again everyone.

There are loads of recommendations but the only person I can personally recommend Kensutz and Al Higgins, both of which have done work for me in the past and the quality is great. Great personalities, and easy to get on with it. Shane O'Neill has been recommended by another photographer that I have worked with (who doesn't do weddings) and judging by the people commenting here, he seems to be another person many recommend.

So many choices - its a good thing! :)

He's the best in the town, and in the county, and probably in whole Ireland. Know him from wedding venues, and he's seriously professional

Where will be your wedding party? Maybe I'll serve food for you;)

Congrats on the wedding!! I have to recommend Kevin Curry, he's based in Gorey but he'll travel. Really talented guy and just such a nice guy. He did my wedding photos and the photos were beyond amazing. http://www.kevincurry.eu/

Best of luck with it all!
