I've acquired this hall stand(?) through a property sale, I have no idea if it's even antique. Seems fairly worn, it has 'S&S' stamped on the back. Anyone have any idea as to what it is, value etc? Thanks

Don't know value, but the OTT styled dark Victorian stuff is out of fashion right now, people find it doesn't fit in with a modern home.

Late Victorian chiffonier - hard thing to sell as was mentioned earlier.
Looks to be black painted or 'ebonised' ?
