Not sure if this is better suited to travel or if this is the right place.

Honeymoon .... September 2013 - Anyone got any recommendations ?

We would like to avoid the rainy seasons, hurricane seasons, monsoon seasons etc.

and ideally would have good temperatures (25C+ degrees), nice clean beaches, snorkelling/diving ideally and stuff to do and see nearby (dont mind a bit of travelling if we need to)

Open to suggestions at the moment ...and kinda hoping people can point us in the right direction.

went to SE Asia. Yes, it was wet season but it only rained like 2ce for <2 hours in the day. It was still warm and most days were sunny. Temperatures are also far more bearable when it's not blasting down sunny...

Were going to California. Plenty of sun, beaches and also plenty to do further in from the coast.
Also theres good snorkeling in the southern half of that state too :)

We went to Hawaii via New York and Las Vegas in 2007 and weather was great.
Its a long trip of course.

West Coast of the states, Loads of sun sea sand and the rest.
Should be pretty nice that time of year too.
Plus loads of places to visit California/San Diego/Santa Barbara

We're going on honeymoon this September also and have booked San juan (puerto rico) followed by a week long southern Caribbean cruise. We were looking along the same lines as yourself

we're doing the West coast of America too , Vegas 4 days , san Fran 3 days , monterey 2 days , Santa Barbara 2 days , la 3 days .

    Flying from Dublin
    Back to Cork.

Booked majority through trailfinders , found them very competitive on price despite their brochure prices which are misleadingly expensive .

Very good advice I thought too . We went to a few travel agents they were cheapest by far and also putting us in superior accommodation (confirmed by exterior sources trip advisor etc) .
If West coast is something you do consider it's worth pricing car hire also as it's supposed to be a beautiful place to drive .

Best of luck with the search .

do you not think thats a lot of moving around ?

dont really get a chance to unpack the bags if you are moving on after a few days.

We seem to end up going on hols in september for some reason.

South africa is lovely that time of year.
I was in Hawaii in september, very nice indeed.
I really love southern europe in september too. Greece, italy, south of france.

We did California and Vegas. Laguna Beach - Santa Barbara - San Luis Obispo - Monteray - San Francisco. We hired a car at the airport and drove. Most people recommend doing it the other way around so that you're driving on the coast side of the road but we wanted to relax in San Francisco for a few days before heading to Vegas. The weather will be good, there's plenty to do and the driving is manageable. As for it being a lot of moving around, I don't think I've ever been on a holiday where I've needed to unpack but I like getting to see a few places so if it seems like too much it might not be for you.

It's a good time of the year to go to South Africa too. My husband has been there a couple of times and he loved it.

Highly recommend Yosemite National Park to anyone spending some time travelling around west coast USA.
3-4 hour drive inland from San Fran. Stunningly beautiful place.

Anywho, another destination worth considering is Croatia's Dalmatian coast. Maybe not quite hot enough for you if you
are looking for serious heat, but should be well into the 20s through September.
It has some fantastic diving/snorkeling spots, and a great mix of the luxury hotels and the character of ancient town squares.
Hvar, Dubrovnik and Split are all fantastic and the drive up along the coast is a good match for Highway 1 if you want to move around.

Spent a month travelling around the west coast of the US a few years ago and have to say Yosemite was the best by far. 100% recommend it.
