    You can always just get an external drive if you really need to use optical media. I could be wrong but I don't think any of them had an SD card slot however you can pick up small usb readers for dirt cheap.

    Keep an eye on the refurb stock on the Apple store. Older models come up there regularly at good discounts but with full warranty.
