    Hi,

I bought a car which had an engine replacement (new engine). Would they have changed the timing belt? Car is 05 focus. Belt would have had about 70k miles on it when engine changed, car now has 100k

Doesn't show on invoice for engine replacement but does have FOC service 400 euro. Engine done in a main dealer.

Is there anyway i could tell?

    Thanks

    I'm confused!

You mean a focus with 70k got a new engine and now has 100k
    Or now has 100-70 =30k?

A new engine would have a new belt.

    Car today - odomoter 100k

or has done 30 k since engine done...

If it was a new engine there'd be a new belt on it.

If it was a 2nd hand engine anyone fitting it with more than two brain cells would have changed the timing and auxiliary belts too.

Km or miles? Petrol or diesel?
