Just wondering if there is a footpath all the way in via the N11.
Have a meeting in town and might run in and out.

There's a cycle path all the way in to Donnybrook, most of it has foot path alongside, though a couple of spots don't. Between Cabinteely and Cornelscourt for one. If that bothers you you can swing up into Cabinteely/Cornelscourt villages. Otherwise dice it with the two-wheelers.
    Definitely run-able.

I run along the N11 in from Bray once a week. Just cycle path in part as cjt says but its not an issue. It's about as dull as a run can get though. I turn off at Cabinteely and head down by Blackrock and Sandymount which is a nicer route in to town but slightly longer. Here's a link to my MapMyRun route

Alternatively you could run the long narrow park from Cherrywood (well, Ballybrack side of N11) to Deansgrange and then you've got Blackrock park and some dedicated bike/walk/run stuff some of the way into town beside the lower road. I reckon you could get a reasonable percentage of off-road/park distance, while I can't think of similar jollies on the (also hillier) N11.

Turn off at Cornalscourt, down to Deansgrange, Blackrock, booterstown, sandymount. Nice route.
