Handbrake Light

    Hi All,
Whenever I have the handbrake up, the "notice" light doesnt appear on the dashboard. If I go around a corner quite sharpish, it flickers on and off. Any ideas what the cause could be?

My passenger front disc is warped as far as I know, and I need to get that sorted. Would they both be linked?

    Car is 2006 Almera.

    Thanks

Handbrake light is known to flicker if the brake fluid is low in a lot of cars.
Going around a corner sharp could cause it to go to one side and cause it to flicker?

Not sure why the light doesn't appear on the car when you pull then handbrake though.

Thanks for that. Its been like that for nearly a year, and its been serviced in the mean time (had forgotten to say it to them). I thought it may have been a loose sensor, so when I go around corners, the connection re-connects up?

    Faulty hand brake switch maybe?

Thinking it could be the switch. Replacing the discs and pads tomorrow anyway, so will see how it is after!
