    Hi Folks,
    Looking for some advice on problem with dipped headlights on accord 2004 cdti. Bulbs have been blowing periodically for a while to date but now after trying a number of new bulbs on both sides still no joy, it maybe a relay or the switch may be gone. The question I have is the relay in question is not documented in the owners manual, thus I don't know which relay in the fuse box beside the battery to check. It maybe a wiring issue also but would like to rule out the relay. Anybody any ideas before I drop to an auto electrician.
    Thanks in advance

    Go direct to an auto spark. It could be a number of things that'd cause your issue, and it might take you forever to find the root problem.

    Thanks for the reply, switching from high beams to low causes the relay to click so It's probably not the relay, looks like a wiring problem from the relay to the lights, picking up a multimeter today in order to check this eve if there is power getting to the lights. NCT coming up so need to sort. Next port of call auto spark if I cant locate the fault.

    Have a look at these;

    Also OP, are you getting any condensation inside the headlight unit?

    This was a common design flaw with these that could possibly be causing your problem.

    Hi randy,
    Had seen those posts but not the issue, no condensation, in the meantime think I discovered the relay for the lights, it is seperate from the main box - housing the fuses and relays in the engine bay beside the battery, it sits alongside the main box and is bolted insitu, so going to open this eve and try and reseat to see if that helps, will check it properly though on saturday as a mate is bringing over multimeter. Hopefully this is the problem and I can order a new relay, if not it's either wiring or the stalk switch controlling the lights.
