Pretty much a peg dog would be a lab and just used for retreving shot birds

for a peg dog steadiness is key also, are u going to driven shoots?

It's not really a thing where ill be going to driven shoots. Just looking one for picking up. Duck pigeon stuff like that.

oh it would be a springer all day for me but its hard to beat a lab for stamina i.e multiple water retrieves. but an acceptable trained springer would be from 500-800 max but labs are a different kettle of fish if coming from a trialing home 1000-3000 easily would i be right in saying that trigger:confused:

    Hi Marty,
I have an older lab available at the moment. He is 10 yo, very bidible and fully trained. He will do multiple blinds across cover/rivers and delivers to hand. He is a serious water dog and ideal for ducks and geese. I have used him for picking up on a few different shoots and is steady to falling game etc. The only thing against him is his age but that depends on how much work you need him to do. I am not far from Louth so if you want we can meet up some evening and you can see if he is what you are looking for. PM me for his pedigree if your interested.

    Max.
