Littlewoods Pricing Stupid !

So i'm considering getting an iPad, ideally from an Irish seller. brand new, so I can claim the VAT back, as it will be for business use.

I was looking around for prices and noticed a discount code for littlewoods ireland for 20% off, right here on boards. I would rather buy right out, but thought I would take a look and see, but they don't have the iPad 4. The only have the previous models.

In order to get the most relevant results (and not get all the accessories listed) I searched with price, high>low.

    Here's a whopper:

    Ipad 3rd gen 16GB with wi-fi = €549

Ipad 3rd gen 16GB with wi-fi + cellular = €513. That price is with a promotional reduction, but still, it's silly. It's much cheaper than the lower spec model they are selling. They could at least drop the other price to an even €500.

Just to be clear here. I know you pay a premium at places like littlewoods, because you buy in credit and pay monthly, which is why I said I wanted to buy straight out. What I wanted to point out is their stupid pricing error, where they priced a higher spec model at a much cheaper price than the lower spec model. The cellular enabled model is usually around €100 more expensive the the wi-fi only, but it's nearly €40 cheaper on littlewoods prices.

 so buy the cheaper one... Or don't... Who cares!?

The thing is, you've posted in AH. You're making a fuss over some pathetic Apple pricing problem, and we don't care. I'm sure you're on Facebook telling everyone and saying 'OMG like!' Go to the Mobile or Consumer forum for Apple fanboys and sympathy.

Let me get this straight. You want an ipad and found one thats cheaper than another lower spec one they are selling. And instead of buying the high spec one for a lower cost you want them to drop the price of the lower spec one ?

Apple pricing problem? Show me where you got that from.

Are you really sure? What am I, a D4 teen now? What I said has nothing to do with Apple pricing, it just happens to be an apple product. It's the price fcuk up i'm on about on LITTLEWOODS. Let me repeat...LITTLEWOODS PRICE PROBLEM. Don't care, then don't post.

OK, i will straighten it out. Read the first post and my subsequesnt post where I said that I did not want to buy from Littlewoods, but was simply pointing out their pricing mistake and then made an opinionated suggestion that they should drop the price of the lower spec model below the price of the higher spec model.

I know this is AH and expect a few funny, smart arse remarks, but i didn't expect the brain power to be so low with some of the comments I have had to reply to. If in doubt, read the posts.

Oh right, you want them to drop the price of something you have no intentions of buying ? ........ :D sorry, its too easy.

But I wouldnt get angry if I was you because things go downhill fast when OP's get angry.

Yep. I want them to drop the price, even though I have no intention of buying. That mistake would seriously put me off any possible consideration of using them. If they can mess up something so simple, I wouldn't want an account with them.

Don't worry, I won't get angry. The hulk has nothin on me when i'm ANGRY :pac:

So let me guess this straight, you dropped your Ipad and now want to return it?

Firstly I didn't care but you really aren't making things understandable.

If only there was a consumer forum.

Show me where I mentioned that I owned, dropped, damaged, or wanted to return anything.

Sorry, you can't be helped. There must be an early learning centre close to you that can be of assistance. ;)

Yes, but I wanted an all rounder reply, including some of the typical funny ones that are amusing. If I had posted in the consumer forum, the answer would be (a) contact them and tell them, or (b) they can chargw what they like, or (c) some link to legislation and distance selling.

Just as well I can rant anywhere I choose. TBF, it was a short rant. If a mod thought the thread was not in the appropriate forum, the thread would be moved and I have no problem if it is. Later.

Opel Astra Club for sale, €22k oh but if you want the sat nav, leather seats and alloys thrown in, you'll have to pay €19k. Those extras seem to knock chunks off the price.

I wonder if I want the 64GB off Littlewoods, will they drop the price to €100. That's what I call economy ;)

Come to think of it, what use is an iPad in a business anyways?

As for the silly AH response, Yore(lack of).....iPad?

Also OP, you can buy items outright with Littlewoods. However, you can't use promo codes if you're paying outright via credit/debit card.

EDIT: Just remembered they offer loads of other payment options, just to clarify promo codes only work if you have a credit account with them.

That would depend on the business really I suppose. For me, it would come it handy, but admittedly is not a necessity.

I knew things could be bought outright with them, but the price point for this would make it pointless, as you pay much more with these types of companies for goods.

It suits people who are looking for the convenience ofinstallments and ho don't mind paying an extra 20-30% on top of the outright price you can get elsewhere. Also some people just can't afford to buy outright, so it suits them too.
