Help with 06 Passat

    Hi,
I was very pleased with a recent NCT on my fairly high mileage 06 Passat. The only fail was an indicator light.
I need some help on replacing it. It is the light indicator light on an outside rear view mirror. I purchased a replacement and the dealer's computer shows a screw holding it in place. There aren't actually any obvious screw holes/fittings in the replacement but it does have two press in clips.
Do I need to remove the mirror to get at that light? If so, how?
    In advance, thanks.

Hi. You need to remove the mirror glass to get to the screws behind it then the indicator comes off from the inside. You have to tilt the glass fully down to get a grip on the edge of the glass to gently pull it straight off its mount. A quick google of your problem and you will find a guide of it on a vw forum

Thanks. That's sort of what I thought. Gives me something to go on.
