For purely entertainment value, which is what the EPL is - a soap opera - I hope Rafa gets booed like a heel in the WWE.

    Bit like this

Like they brought it in parts ,and assembled it within ground

Very positive start. Oscar and Mata both coming close. Good cross from Ba.

Landmarks today for Lamps, Ashley and Mata too. Here's hoping they mark it with a nice win!!!

Hopefully wba can get something out of the game and heap more misery on the intern manager

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Bossing possession at the moment. Just can't pick a way through. West Brom have 10 men behind the ball almost all the time. This could be a frustrating afternoon.

Bizarrely that's what the Chelsea fans hope too

ahhh Oscar, had a good start but should have 2 goals

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Oscar's header, straight at Foster. 2 on target now. Nothing especially brilliant tho.

And whatever people feel about the interim manager, he'll be gone in May. Fúck it. To want the team to lose a game where every single point is now totally precious in terms of securing a Top 4 finish.... NUTS.

Ba, straight at Foster. Pass to Mata might have been better option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

Playing well so far, although Ba hasn't looked great so far. Decent atmosphere at the game, that'll be sure to disappoint some.

What do Chelsea fans think of Oscar?

I'm a big fan but he's got some maturing to do... deserves to be starting the majority of games.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Oscar oozes class, and will be a proper superstar in a few years.

Hazard nearly played through there. Dammit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

Good effort from Luiz, makes a change not to balloon it over...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Wowza... what a free kick from Luiz. Great save from Foster. Dammit, again.

His first goal in 8 games!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

That goal was badly needed. The longer West Brom held onto their clean sheet, the more frustrating and awful the game would have become. Opens up now.

    Close from Mata again.

Chelsea need to play like this from now until the end of the season. Alert, sharp, hungry. But, I have a feeling there will be the predictable wilting in the second half, tho. West Brom are not dead yet.

When Chelsea play great football its the players who take credit
When Chelsea play crap ,its Rafa' fault

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

    Chelsea's 6 shots versus West Brom's 1.

Great pass from Lampard there, unfortunate that McAuley got a good interception in there. Ba woulda been through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

More good stuff from Oscar there!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,249 ✭✭✭MaroonAndGreen

    Good, dominant half from Chelsea.

Delighted so far and a bonus that Ba got a goal too!

We have lost leads so much this season so im still very cautious... but so far so good

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Yeah, so far, so good. Been an impressive first half performance. Dominating possession and looking really dangerous going forward. I really hope that they don't take their foot off the pedal in the second half, as has happened so many times this season.

Bright start. Dominant again. Second goal needed to solidify the position and take the game beyond West Brom.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Would have been soft enough penalty, but I've seen them given. Would have killed it there and then. Just gone the hour. West Brom, unfortunately, starting to liven up a bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,200 ✭✭✭hots

Could do with a sub, Oscar for Moses maybe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,214 ✭✭✭Garzorico

Crowd chanting Joses name.....embarrasing stuff. We should be 3/4 ahead at this stage...like the Reading QPR & Southampton games...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,852 ✭✭✭homer simpson

The longer this stays at 1-0 the more nervous I'm getting. All it takes is 1 bad pass from a chelsea player, or 1 missed header from a set play and they are level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,107 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

West brom are 3/1 to score a goal. Looks a decent bet with Chelsea's record.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Good god dammit... West Brom having their purple patch now, at the worst possible time. Jesus. Chelsea controlled this game for 70 minutes nearly now, and now they're letting West Brom back into it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Whoever got hit by Luiz's free-kick will be feeling it in the morning. Fúcking hell, what power was in that. Unlucky.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,249 ✭✭✭MaroonAndGreen

    getting nervy now alright....
