Should be a routine 3 points for the champions elect.

I fear it won't be as routine as people may think.. Norwich can be hard to break down as we seen back in November. Hoping 2-0 or something simple and economical..

    Blatantly ripped from the guardian

    Man Utd 0 - 2 Norwich City 1989
The jinking dribbles down the left wing of the 18-year-old Lee Sharpe, bought from Torquay, provided the best value for the home supporters in the crowd of 39,610. Many of them have seen so little entertainment here lately they would welcome a gas bill dropping through their letterbox.

Ah it was all before Fergie at this point, we all still young back then.

Another Saturday 3pm kick off for Manchester United? Someone in control of selecting the TV games must be drunk :pac:

EDIT - I know it's because of Champions League.

    3-0 home win.

What relevence does a match 24 years ago have to this one? Apart from Ferguson being in charge, there are no similarities.

A quarter of a century ago! Lee Sharpe was playing.

It was all before him, as in, it was all ahead of him.

    no Giggs

Ah no chance of a repeat then!

Giggs making his 1000th appearance against Real Madrid is more worthy.

    You seem almost disappointed.

Should Pool fans not be hoping for a Norwich loss?

Subs: Lindegaard Rafael Hernandez Nani Young Welbeck Cleverley.

Hopefully not, he can wait till the game afterwards for his 1000th appearance.

/\ Giggs only needs to come on as sub in extra time. I'm sure that can be arranged.

Norwich 1st XI: Bunn, R.Martin, Johnson, Bassong, Turner, Snodgrass, Howson, Holt, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Garrido.

Strong line up. Didnt think RVP would start.

Great to see Kagawa get a run out, albeit on the left.

3 points and no injuries please.

You're talking about the group who cheered Swansea drawing with us despite Swansea being 2 points behind Liverpool :D

Woulda loved Nani to start, will be interesting to see where Kagawa plays

Fergie really has changed this year regarding team selections. He's not resting players like he used to. Great to see it working so well. Long may it last.

happy enough with the team.Though Nani would start,Valencia really needs a big game today. He has been piss poor all year and now with Nani back there are other options.

Strong team today,I'm going for a 4-0 win.Lessons learned from putting out weakened teams against so called smaller teams, get the 3 points,no injuries & let Villa take care of City on Monday.

Looked a sore one on the keeper there..... terrible pass from Rooney

    Snodgrass playing a stormer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,602 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Valencia is such a non player these days. Even when Nani plays bad he gets involved and tries to make something happen. Valencia I really don't understand what's going on.

    Quiet enough start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,366 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

Would love a Kagawa or Carrick goal.

Carrick with three or four lovely passes already. Could be the key to unlocking that deep Norwich defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,902 ✭✭✭MagicIRL

Have you not seen his three quality sliding tackles? He's covering defence brilliantly.

The curse of Valencias left stump strikes again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,366 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

"He should of thrown his left foot at that"

Pffffft, he does not know Valencia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

God that would have been a great goal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,624 ✭✭✭double GG

    Oh RVP...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,624 ✭✭✭double GG

With the amount of possession Valencia has got this half, you'd expect if Nani got half that amount he'd have put in at least 3 decent crosses unlike Valencia.
