I'm thinking of purchasing this box for a spare motherboard I have which is a Biostar with amd e 350 chip built into it. It will have a 2.5 HD attached and that will be it.
The case I'm looking at is this with a 120 wat power supply

The ac/dc I would plug into it a 12v 5a brick which will be 60 watts.

Now is there any problem with this plugging in a 60 watt into a 120 watt power supply. The total power usage I belive of the mobo and hd should be less than 60 watts.

Provided your mobo and peripherals do not draw more than 60 watts you will not have a problem.

If you were to draw significantly more than 60 watts then the power brick would either blow a fuse (if it is good quality) or overheat and have some catastrophic failure (if it's some chinese crap).

You can get one of the newer Realan E-i3 cases for €55 delivered on ebay right now and that includes a PSU. Similar features but a little bit nicer because the power socket is on the back rather than the side.

That's what I mean, the power brick is the PSU for this type and the internal board is just a DC-DC converter.

I was just saying that according to the link you posted, he isn't including the power brick in the price.

Item #121067262863 on ebay seems to have the power brick included so maybe slightly better value. If you have the power brick already I suppose it doesnt matter but I think the E-i3 is a nicer case anyhow. Its by the same company (Shenzhen Realan).

The E350 is only an 18W TDP chip so if all there is is another HDD or two your system it wil be fine with just the 5a brick.
