Delighted to see this come back. Probably one of the funniest shows I've seen. Ryan Stiles is an absolute genius on it as well.

Hope none of them have lost it. Ryan was always brilliant and Colin as well.
I remember having this clip on my mp3 player

Was never a good idea when it came on while at work since couldn't stop laughing

Oh and if you go to that link, good luck trying to get away without looking at other Whose Line clips. :)

Brilliant news. Disappointing Drew Carey won't be hosting. I'm guessing maybe he's too tied in to his The Price Is Right contract or something. But still, Aisha Tyler is pretty great, and once Ryan and Colin are there, it can't go wrong. Delighted to see it back

I love how the main related clip is an ACTUAL foal being born.
Jesus, I didn't need to see that just after lunch. :)

Good show...great chemistry between Colin and Ryan. :)

This is from the late 1980s. I prefer the earlier lineups, especially with Tony Slattery Josie Lawerence and Mike McShane.

Yeah, very old ones were great too.

I wonder if Richard Vranch will be back too ... I used to love him, he'd a very cute smile.

Me too, especially hated the hoedowns, which is why I hope Mike Mcshane isn't involved with this series.

Yes! It's called Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza and it is ****ing hilarious! And the mouse traps. Dear god the mouse traps make my life worth living!

The music bits were the weakest parts of WLIIA but it's the strongest of Improv-A-Ganza. Check it out on Youtube. DSN has every episode and without adverts. Fair play to them for giving all of it to us on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/GSNVideos

It had been on for so many years. This is a revival.
Too bad that clip was singing as they were my least favourite sketches. Though that Japanese pop song was pretty funny

This always flew past me when looking for stuff to watch. Watched Season 1 of the YS version last night. Colin Mochrie & Ryan Styles are brilliant.

I used to love the show when it was on originally but the one complaint I has was that the same people used to do the same sketches every time. Wouldn't it have been nice to see someone else other than Ryan Styles do the one with someone else's arms for example? It was always him.

In fairness, some people were just always better at some games than others. Perfect example is how Colin always used to do Newsflash (where he'd stand in front of a green screen and there'd be something behind him). In one episode it was Ryan in front of the screen and he was pretty bad at it. They had to work to people's strengths.

The reason the showdown was funny was because Colin was so bad at it. You had to play the weaknesses too. I think they had it pretty bang on.

Yeah, Ryan always finished the hoedown, Greg was usually the host of the party, Wayne Brady did the CD collections.

I remember the one with Ardal O'Hanlon in it. I didn't think he was very good. Then Robin Williams was just Robin Williams when he was on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,731 ✭✭✭✭Penn

I think I read that Ryan always went last at Hoedown because it always took him longer to come up with a rhyme than everyone else.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,973 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    The funniest hoedown? MEEOOWWW! :D

Different but goood. Sideways scene is hilarious

It was pretty good, didnt think Gary Williams was much good though.
And the present will always be Marianne Taylor from 24 for me.

Didnt know there was 2 episodes though, will watch the 2nd now.

Nearly broke myself laughing at that.
I enjoyed it overall. Not the biggest fan of the repeated introductions for guests but thats probably just because they dont know which parts theyll use when filming it.

I kind of miss Drew to be honest. Colin and Ryan still have it and Wayne is class!

Have to watch the second episode yet.

Why are American audiences so applaud happy? So annoying!

Very poor. The host offers nothing (compared to Clive Anderson, or even Drew Carey) the crowd were way too 'enthusiastic, and it was less spontaneous than the British version. The only two redeeming factors were of course Ryan Styles and Colin Mochrie, but still, it tried too hard - also, FIVE ad-breaks for a 30 minute show?

Hopefully it gets recommisioned on a UK channel and its legacy isn't ruined by this

Really? this new incarnation is weak at best and lacks everything that made the original great. Audience participation is minimal, the flow is totally destroyed by the constant audience whoops and hollers and it's edited to within an inch of its life. The UK version was essential viewing, this is just bland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,140 ✭✭✭✭expectationlost

the premise seem a little over complicated

yah the audience needs to calm down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭meoklmrk91

I had never seen the original, it seems like a decent enough show, I will catch the next episode anyway, got some decent laughs out of episode 2. But then I decided to watch some of the old episodes, I was nearly falling off the chair laughing at some parts, can't wait to watch some more.
